Congratulations to the Newly-Weds

September 13th - Congratulations goes out to the newly-weds,  Jennifer and Michael Filliben.   They were married on Thursday, September 9th at 17:00 hrs aboard the Carnival Cruise Liner, Fantasy.  Jennifer and  Michael along with family and friends spent the rest of the weekend cruising the Caribbean stopping in Nassau for a day.  Again Congratulations and may this be the beginning of a happy, wonderful marriage.

August 20th - Congratulations goes out to FF/EMT Brian Woodard and his wife Leanne for the birth of their
son,  James Brennan.  He was born at 16:36 hrs. weighing at 7 lbs. 10 ozs and 19.5 inches long.
Both mother and baby are doing well.


Pineville Fire Department receives FEMA Grant


July 30th - Pineville Fire Department is proud to announce that it has received a FEMA grant of $24,834.00.
This money will be used to purchase 5 new hand held radios and 2 new vent fans needed to help the Pineville Fire Department fulfill its duties to the public. 

The grants will total approximately 8.000 awards worth over $750 million in direct assistance to Fire Departments all over the country.  The assistance to the Fire Departments Grant program is administered by the Department's Office for Domestic Preparedness in cooperation with the Department's United States Fire Administration.

July 30th - Congratulations goes out to FF/EMT Mike Cox and Steve Draper for their completions of recruit training school for the Rock Hill Fire Department.  Both firefighters graduated July 29th after a long and hard road through the 16 week rookie school.  The Pineville Fire Department is very proud of both Mike and Steve and wish them luck with their new jobs.

July 8 - Congratulations goes out to FF/EMT Brian and FF/EMT
Brandi Benson for the birth of their son,  Cayden Reid.
He was born July 8th at 16:34 hrs. weighing in at 5lbs. and 14 ozs.
and 19 inches long.  Both mother and baby are doing well.

May 22 - Congratulations goes out to Chief Bill Griffin and his wife Krystal for the birth of their son,
William Connor.  He was born on May 22nd at 19:34 hrs. weighing in at 8 lbs. even and 20 inches long.  Mother, father, and baby are doing well.

May 3rd - Congratulations goes out to FF/EMT Heather Prekrel for the birth of her son, Jacob Gregory. 
He was born around 02:27a.m. Monday morning weighing in at 6 lbs. 5 oz. and 19.5 inches long.  Both mother and baby are doing well.


March 5th - Late night on March 5th Pineville Fire Department was alerted to a possible brush fire in.   Assistant Chief Boatwright arrived on scene to find a vehicle fully involved about 200 yards off the road.  Pineville Engine 2 arrived on scene and began to extinguish the fire.  Fire Marshall 1107 responded to the scene and the incident is still under investigation.


February 26th & 27th - Pineville and surrounding areas received a record breaking amount of snow.  Snow started falling early Thursday morning and continued on and off till later Friday afternoon.  We received around 18" of snow with some areas receiving up too 24".  The last time we received this much snow in a short period of time was in 1989.  Pineville Fire Department kept busy assisting Medic throughout the night on various EMS runs but never had a Fire run.

January 10th - Congratulations goes out to FF Frank Milasauskas and his wife Rachelle for the birth of their son, Justin Clay.  He was born at 12:47 p.m. Saturday afternoon weighing in at 8 lbs. 9 oz. and 19.5 inches long.  Both mother and baby are doing well.

 

January 9th - Congratulations goes out to FF/EMT Michael Filliben and his fiancée Jennifer for the birth of their daughter, Alexis McKayla.  She was born around 20:20 hrs. Friday night weighing in at 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 20 inches long.  Both mother and baby are doing well.
